LEONARD S. RICH, MD - was born in Dover, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio State College of Medicine and completed a three year ophthalmology residency program at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio.  He then completed a five year Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Fl. with John T. Flynn, M.D.  Dr. Rich was Chairman and Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology at The University of South Alabama.  Dr. Rich has been in a private practice of ophthalmology with Vision Partners since July of 2001 in Mobile Alabama and is currently the Clinical Professor of the Department of Surgery at the University of South Alabama.  He is a current member of The American Academy of Ophthalmology and The Mobile Pediatric Society.  Dr. Rich is presently on The Board of Directors of The Mobile Medical Society and The Executive Board of The Lions/USA Eye Research Foundation.
